Japan has the second highest number of users on Twitter in the world with 58.95 million people actively using the platform (source: https://www.statista.com/statistics/242606/number-of-active-twitter-users-in-selected-countries/).
I’ve met some really cool people on there so far and have had engaging conversations about topics I’m interested in, so it’s super motivating engaging with people on there. Tweets are also very short by nature, so when using something like Yomichan it creates a nice bite sized sentence for you with pretty much all the context you need!
It’s also a fantastic opportunity to encounter “real” Japanese that you don’t see in textbooks. I’ve learned some pretty fun terms over the past several months lol
Anyway, just wanted to put this out there since people often ask for resources on this subreddit and I rarely see Twitter mentioned as one 🙂
