Hi all so I’m about to go to Kansai next week with my parents (aged 55+) and I need some last minute tips. I have already plotted where I want to go for the 6 days I’ll be staying and they are;

Day 1:
Going from Kansai Airport to Hotel (will be based in Osaka) and arriving at about 5pm
Taking the train to train to Solaniwa Onsen and enjoying + relaxing for a couple of hours before calling it a night

Day 2 (Nara half day):
* Kasuga Taisha
* Meoto Daikokusha
* Nara National Meseum
* Getting some snacks from at Le Casse and Kasuga before heading to
* Todaiji Temple
* Nara Station for food
Than head back to Osaka during the evening where we can go to Abeno Q’s Mall before walking back to hotel

Day 3 (Kyoto, it’s the Emperor birthday so I have 0 idea if these are open and I used a Japan guide for this) :
* Kiyomizu-dera
* Ninen-zaka
* Maruyama-koen Park
* Chion-in Temple
* Shoren-in Temple
* Kyoto Shiyakusho-mae Station for Nishki Market and Daimaru Basement Food
* Fushimi Inari Taisha

Day 4 (Kobe longest train ride 2 hours from what I saw on google maps):
* Himeji Castle
* Kassui-ken restaurant
* Akashi Kaikyo Bridge Exhibition Center
* Sorakuen Garden and Ikuta Jinja
* Hyogo Prefectural Museum of Art
* The Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake Memorial Disaster Reduction and Human Renovation Institution
* Food and shopping around the Mega Don Quijote

Day 5 and 6 are both going to be base within Osaka. The places I am planning on going are;
* Osaka Castle
* Golden Wasen – Osaka Castle Gozabune
* Umeda Sky Building
* Hep Five Ferris Wheel
* Tsutenkaku Tower
* Kuromon Ichiba Market
* Haruaka 300
* Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan
* Dodonbori and Tombori River Cruise

I want to plan some time to go to Namba and Denden town during the last two days because I love anime (so does my dad) and I want to pick up a few figures when I am in Japan. The only reason why I am not going to do Osaka first two days is because I want to see how much money I have left for the trip. I do have a strict budget and sadly from what I gathered Kobe beef is pretty expensive still so I’m debating to get it at Kobe or not or do I just get it from the Kuromon Ichiba Market. My dad doesn’t eat beef so it’s why I feel it’s not right to go to a restaurant with it.

Furthermore I want to use the Osaka Amazing Pass but the problem is I can’t seem to find any information about buying and using the pass online.

it feels like your daily plans are a little over what I would expect you can manage without experience and people that may or may not be the fastest walkers.
