7 day Honeymoon Itinerary Check – Tokyo & Kamakura

Hi, I am planning a honeymoon to Japan for this autumn (first week of November)! This would be my third time returning to Japan and my husband’s first. We would love to see the autumn colors.

Unfortunately, I have a gluten allergy so am pretty limited on food. In Tokyo, there are a good amount of allergy friendly restaurants – outside Tokyo, not so much.

We love more quaint and quieter areas, exploring coffeeshops, hiking, and thrifting/fashion. I also love matcha. Would love to know if you have any coffee or matcha recommendations.

Thanks in advance for your recommendations & help! 🥰

  1. If you’re going to Kamakura and are interested in drinking matcha and eating wagashi you should consider going to the Hokokuji Temple. The teahouse there is beautiful and the seating faces out towards a bamboo forest. It’s also affordable and authentic. I hope you two have a wonderful honeymoon!
