Hello! Could anyone tell me when George Orwell’s 1984 was first translated into Japanese, and how the word “unperson” was translated? Does Japanese have an equivalent of the “un-” prefix, or did the translator need to coin a new word? Thanks in advance.

I checked two translations, 新庄哲夫 translated it as 非実在者 and 山形浩生 translated it as 非人.
