We are a group of 4 that has never been to Japan. The itinerary is our starting points and we have a list of places to hit in each city time allowing so we have flexibility to wander. We plan to start booking next week so plenty of time to adjust anything.
Main questions are:
We have tattoos but can we stay at a Ryokan if we don’t use the Onsen? Are there other places we can’t enter with tattoos?
Cultural differences for women (frowned upon dress or behaviors)
Advice on food tours of a city
Advice for going out at night.
Songs in English that Japanese Karaoke patrons will enjoy.
Any areas we should avoid when booking hotels in Osaka, Kyoto, or Tokyo?
