Anyone here work for a delivery company? There is a company near me hiring for delivery drivers claiming a 6am to 2pm work day for a bit more than what I’m being paid now. Been at my current job for 7 years but I’d love to get out of teaching to earn more and hopefully use Japanese.
The delivery looks to be like food to local shops and restaurants so a little truck. They say they have foreigners working there so I’m wondering if it really is a 6 to 2 job
Is it normal for your landlord to just enter your apartment with no notice?? I guess there’s been a water leak in the apartment below me and the landlord has just been entering my apartment to look at it when I’m gone, only reason I know is because they opened my door when I was at home and it scared the hell out of me
Are valleys universally named here? Any resources or maps one can look at to try and find, let’s say, a small inhabited valley in the miura alps official name?
I asked a couple locals and they seemed pretty interested in finding out as well, granted I didn’t ask any super old timers.
Has anyone tried the Daiso liquid detergent for clothing? There’s 2 variations, one scentless made in Japan, another one scented that’s made in China. Do they do a decent job?
Been itching to make legit hamburgers for quite some time, but my local supermarkets don’t have a ton of options available for 牛.
Are there particular blends people use to buy and grind their own? Or just settle with the pork/beef minced?
I’ve been sitting in the front seat of a (Keihan railway) train, and I’ve noticed that on some stations the conductor is given miscellaneous items, like an umbrella tied to a binder, a rucksack, etc. I don’t think it’s forgotten items since they seem to be the same items every day I’ve sat there. The binder kind or makes sense as a way of delivering non digitized bookkeeping, but I can’t figure out why it would be tied to an umbrella, and why a super worn out sack. Anyone has any ideas?
Also, what is the advantage of having a Keihan commuter pass instead of an average Icoca?
