hi all, we are in Japan for 10 days and am trying to squeeze in Tsumago into the itenerary. we’d really like to squeeze in a bit of rural Japan without many tourists, walk through a bamboo forest + experience outdoor onsen . would love suggestions/alternatives on the Tsumago part of our itinerary

For context, we are both architects and also really enjoy nature. Thank you in advance for your suggestions!

April 30: Half day in Kyoto
Land in Osaka at 8.50am.
Take a train from Osaka to Kyoto
Reach Kyoto by 1pm and check into hotel
Late lunch
Visit Ryōan-ji,Kinkaku-ji
Early dinner and bed

May 1, May 2, May 3: full 3 days in Kyoto
Fushimi Inari Taisha
Imperial palace
Nishiki market
Arashiyama
Toji
Katsura imperial villa
Maybe the river boat ride + walk around the city

May 4:
Checkout of hotel
Kyoto to Nagoya (34 min)
Nagoya to Magome (2.5hrs)
Reach afternoon
Walk around Magome, checkout the bamboo forest nearby

May 5:
Checkout of hotel
Do the Magome-Tsumago Trail
Evening bus to Nagoya
Nagoya to Tokyo train
Reach tokyo late evening

May 6,7,8
Other than the usual sites, include:
-yoyogi stadium, kenzo tange
-t site bookstore, daikanyama
-daikanyama hillside terrace, fumihiko maki
-omotesando: oma, ando, HdM, sanaa, etc.. (fancy shops)
-ueno park: museum by le corbusier, taniguchi,

May 9
Bus to mt. fuji, cycle around

May 10
Flight back to Paris
