Hello everyone! Soon I’ll be selling my vehicle and I don’t know where to go to make the process. I’ll do privately. The documents list I have, but I’m a little lost about where to go and make this happen.
I live in Gifu Prefecture and the car is a white plate.
My Japanese is very simple but I can call for some help if needed. Every tip will be a big help.
And sorry if this question is a silly one, but I never sold a vehicle before and I’m lost about all the process… some help would be a relief.

You need to go to your local department of transportation office. Google 陸運局 plus the name of your city for details. You will definitely need someone who can speak Japanese with you, and be prepared to waste a day there. Bureaucratic wheels turn very slowly.
I transferred ownership with a native Japanese speaker. Bring your hanko.
