I am on the second chapter of Genki 2 and I really like my tutor but I sometimes wonder if I could move quicker on my own since we only meet 2-3 times a week. Has anyone been in a similar situation and dropped the tutor to self study?
I was thinking of switching to conversation practice lessons as she also does those.

What do you want from the tutor that you feel you couldn’t do without them?
Do you really need a tutor at this point?

I did the genki books and then self-studied for about a year before trying some iTalki
it’s pretty cool way to do it IMO, you get some good foundation and then you spend your bucks on the tutor to get used to talking

I use italki for just free conversation. My speaking and listening has improved because of it. Supplement that with learning new grammar and apply it the lesson. Also ask the teacher to correct you too.
