All Star Jr Festival 2023 card announcement

1. Two things that are easy to miss in the announcement:

   – Match order will not be set in advance, so there will be somewhat of a mystery card aspect. The English announcement linked does note Wato vs Aoyagi as the Main Event, however the [Japanese announcement](https://sp.njpw.jp/408448) does not. Whether the mistake is the English site accidentally spoiling the Main Event or just a miscommunication, we’ll see.

   – There will be a preshow of at least one Special Present Match that starts 20 minutes before the main show (so 12:40am Pacific, 3:40am Eastern).

2. This card is the right level of fun and insane that I would expect on a show produced by Hiromu Takahashi. Just the right amounts of sentimentality (proceeds going to the Otani fund, an Otani tribute match, tagging with AMAKUSA after what just happened at the Dome, etc.) and zaniness (5 way matches, absurdly random multi man tags, etc.)

4. Pretty cool card, and it’s surprising to see Wato getting the main event.

   For the five way match, the description lists Miyakawa, but the match graphic has Yo-Hey. The Japanese announcement lists Yo-Hey, so I assume he’s the one in it.

5. All the match-ups look intriguing. Los Japones del Mal reunited. The trio of Hiromu, AMAKUSA, and Fujita “Jr.” Hayato is GOATed.

6. This card looks super fun Taguchi and a pheromones guy together is gonna be something.

   That 5 way looks incredible my one nitpick is that it should’ve had a DDT guy in it, I think Endo would of been a great slot in their.

   Njpw and Hiromu for sure see Master Wato as that guy if they’re giving him the main event.

   I’ve hearalot of good things about the ajpw guy, and he’s super young, I wonder if him main eventing this mean they might want him for Bosj?

   Also Funny that Sho is Teaming with the satanic guy

7. Would prefer to see YAMATO and Skywalker in singles matches but this is a pretty fun looking card

8. I sadly don’t know many of the people in it but still, looks like a super fun card!

9. DOUKI and Desperado in opposite teams in a match.

   The post-SuzukiGun pain begins

10. It shows YO-HEY in the graphic, but in the description it’s all Junta Miyawaki.
