I decided to get a good espresso machine and I am looking for a good roastery that focus somewhat on darker espresso roasts. I know many good roasteries, but most of them are focusing on drip coffee and usually lighter roasts. Anyone knows any good roastery that put some focus on roasting beans for espresso. I am a big fan of Tonya.co.jp and I know that I can ask them to roast to the level I want, but anyone knows any good alternative that is reasonable? I am living in Tokyo, but don’t mind order online.

Yanaka lets you choose the roast and, in my experience, their lightest roast option is pretty dark. Too dark for my V60, typically.
Many small roasters are dedicated to 3rd wave coffee and their medium or light roast for espresso is fantastic. If your not into it, your not into it, but don’t just fall into the trap of dark roast is for espresso for the sake of it.
Some of my favorite roasters:

Kurasu also has a subscription service where they will send you beans from various roasters throughout japan. Little expensive, but fun to get new beans each month from roasters around the country.
