  1. A few of the pieces without the salmon on top look like the ratio of rice is a little high. But honestly I’m super impressed with this being your first attempt

  2. First this is beyond amazing for a first timer! This looks like maki I would buy at a store 😊
    Second, how long did you soak the rice before cooking? In some of the maki it looks a little mushy but still holds the grain shape perfectly.

    Definitely cut your water by a lot next time.

  4. If you succeeded in making the salmon stick on top of the roll, good work! I’m 3 years in and still haven’t figured it out
