Good Japanese language schools in/around Tokyo?

Hello! Lately I’ve been thinking again of going to Japan both to learn the language and to just see what it’s like there. This is honestly something I’ve wanted to do since I was in elementary school, and since I’m graduating high school this year, I’d like to start seriously looking into it. Theres a lot I can find online, though, so my main goal for now is to at least find a few to think on and research further.

what would be good (and relatively affordable, at least for what this is) schools for those who have mastered kana and can handle a basic conversation? Bonus if they also give you a place to stay… If there’s one that has what suits my needs but isn’t in Tokyo, that’s fine, I just want to be there because some places (such as stores, restaurants, arcades, ect) I’d like to check out are located there. 🙇

  1. I’d recommend posting this same question in /r/movingtojapan. This subreddit is primarily for self studiers, but there are a lot of people there with similar questions looking for real reviews. You might also find good answers in /r/japanlife, but you may have to use the search for that. /r/japanlife will ban you if you make posts without being someone who lives in Japan, unfortunately.
