First of all beautiful song tho. I listen to it. Then i watched mv with english cc. Then i watched the lyric video with romanized, nihongo andnenglish translation. There’s one lyric that got me thinking. わたしのことなどどうか 忘れてください. It says “please dont forget about me” in original mv and “please forget about me” in lyrics vids. Idk what douka means(i just started n3). So i searched it up and i think the lyric means “please forget about me.” too. Idk which is the right one.

どうか is a very humble “please”
Your sentence definitely means please forget about me
it says “please forget about me”
Even as a fan translator myself I constantly have to ask why they’re so bad
A lot of the Dragon Quest fan translations are bad but getting touted as ‘more accurate’ due to not taking the liberties the official translations like to, despite containing far more outright errors
I don’t even know what part of this could make someone think it’s ‘*Don’t* forget about me’
