grammar is no cakewalk but I find vocab is the biggest problem anyway…
Tae kim’s guide is very easy to start with and lets you jump into real japanese very quickly, which is great if you hate textbook reading. But I would use Imabi if you have more patience, as I think he’s more thorough and you will have less initial misunderstandings.
