20-Day Itinerary Check – First Time to Japan – Couple 30s – Tokyo, Himeji, Osaka, Nara, Kyoto, Kanazawa, Tokyo – 27/Jul to 16 Aug

(M) I am interested in food, culture and just walk around, (F) is interested in the same things plus architecture. Usually, our days are pretty full, in the schedule below I will be adding (Α) for some areas as they are related to looking at some buildings of architectural interest.

Tokyo hotel: Shinjuku Central Park Area

Osaka hotel: Shinsaibashi Area

Kyoto hotel: Nishiki Market Area

Kanazawa hotel: Kanazawa Station Area

**27 Jul** – Arriving at 19:30, till we get our luggage, get out of customs it will be around 22:00 before we arrive at the hotel – so just eat something in the area and call it a night.

**28 Jul** – Nezu Shrine, Ueno Park, National Museum, lunch, Sensoji, Tokyo SkyTree, dinner at Golden Gai area

**29 Jul** – Imperial Palace, Ginza area (A), Pokemon Center DX, lunch, Nezu Museum, Omotesando Area, Mori Art Museum

**30 Jul** – Rikugien Gardens, Yayoi Kusama Museum, lunch, \_\_\_, teamLab Planets

**31 Jul** – Meiji Jingu, Yoyogi Park, Shibuya Area for the rest of the day, send luggage to Osaka hotel

**1 Aug** – Leave in the morning for Himeji, Himeji Castle, Koko-en, lunch, travel to Osaka, walk around hotel area

**2 Aug** – Universal Studios

**3 Aug** – Osaka Castle, Osaka Tenmangu, Umeda area (B), Namba Yasake Shrine, Dotonbori Area

**4 Aug** – Nara full day, late evening Nakanoshima (B)

**5 Aug** – Shitennoji Temple, Shinsekai Area, \_\_\_, TeamLab Botanical Gardens

**6 Aug** – send luggage to Kyoto, travel to Oyamazaki, Suntory Yamazaki Distillery, Asahi Beer Oyamazaki Villa Museum, lunch, travel to Kyoto around 17:00, \_\_\_

**7 Aug** – Arashiyama full day, Sanneizaka, Kiyomizu dera for sunset

**8 Aug** – Toji Temple, Rengeoin Sanjusangendo, Chishaku-in, Chion-in Temple Sammon, Hanamikoji Street, Yasaka Shrine, Gion area

**9 Aug** – Kinkakuji, Ninna-ji temple, Ryoanji temple, Kitano Temmangu Shrine, Hokanji temple, Ninenzaka area

**10 Aug** – Imperial Palace, Nijo Castle, \_\_, Nishiki Market

**11 Aug** – Fushimi Inari Taisha, Byodoin, Daigo-ji temple

**12 Aug** – Nanzenji temple, Okazaki shrine, travel to Kanazawa, arrive around 15:30, Kurando Terashima House, Higashi Chaya District

**13 Aug** – Kenrokuen Garden, 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, DT Suzuki Museum, Nagamachi District, travel to Tokyo, arrive around 21:00

**14 Aug** – DisneySea

**15 Aug** – Tsukiji Outer Market, \_\_\_, Akihabara area, and about 3-4 hours for final shopping

**16 Aug** – nothing as we need to be at the airport at 9:00
