Best textbook for self study that has video lectures?

Hello!

I learn best when I have a textbook/physical resourced and something to guide me. I saw that the Genki series is recommended a lot, but there are mixed reviews on the different video walkthroughs.

Does anyone else have different recommendation for books/videos for self study or self learn? Something structured like a college course would be easy for me to grasp.

(For reference, I used professor yoon’s video and the integrated Korean book series for Korean, and I was quite comfortable with them.)

  1. Yan San and the Japanese people.

If you’re insistent on Genki, TokiniAndy is supposed to be good

  2. Tobira put out two beginner level textbooks that have videos for the chapters along with all the normal audio portions for the book dialogues and exercises and some stuff for the workbooks too! I really enjoy them

  3. Japanese From Zero! hands down. There’s a youtube channel and website with a surplus of learning materials.
