If they keep increasing the price they’re gonna start losing test takers. An even better reason to study up to pass N1.

7500 yen? Sjeesh, then at least provide free pencils and erasers or something.
What a joke. The low levels were barely worth it at 6000, but I’m not interested in paying through the nose for a certificate to say I’m bad at Japanese.
¥7500? That’s probably going to be a no from me.
If they make it computer based at least with that price.
Makes it even funnier to think about people that take it to get completely worthless certifications like N4 or N5
You get a postcard notification with your photo and results on it. I think that’s proof enough for job application purposes etc. But if you want something to put on your wall then you need to pay extra for the certificate. It’s been that way for as long as I remember.
Is this test necessary for anything? Just wondering. I’ve been here for almost 25 years and never took that test.
Happy i got N1 last year. It’s too expensive.

Honestly debating if I should bother, I’ve not studied anywhere near enough to pass N1 yet but maybe if more people try winging it, it will bring the average down so maybe I’ll be in with a chance? Hahaha, maybe I should start cramming now…
