Today’s question is: What is your favorite Japanese shopping arcade?
Every major important Japanese city features a covered shopping arcade somewhere around dowtown area.
Osaka has Tenjinbashi-suji, Sendai has Ichaban-cho, Fukuoka – Tenjin’s underground shopping.
So tell us, what is your favorite Japanese shopping arcade.

Any of those in the Namba area of Osaka have a strong festive atmosphere. Way better than the one near Sensoji in Tokyo. In fact, Tokyo’s shoppping streets are kinda meh. I enjoy the malls much better. I echo Tenjin’s underground shopping. It’s seriously overwhelming. Same goes to Hondori of Hiroshima for its similar festive feel to it.
Shinsekai don Quijote for all your snacks.
