Currently on a road trip, what options do I have to receive a package (sent from Okinawa)?

Not sure if it’s the same here, but in Germany for example DHL has lockers I could send packages to instead of a home address.

Is there such a thing in Japan? Or is there any way to send a package somewhere that’s not a home address and then I can go there and pick it up?

It would be a shipment from private person to private person incase that matters.

  1. Most of the delivery companies can deliver to a konbini for pickup. You would need to find the konbini you want it delivered to and verify with them that they can receive it and then the other private person can send it there.

  2. How long is your road trip, and has the package already been sent?
If it hasn’t been sent, then the konbini option (or PUDO locker) is viable.
If the package has been sent, the company will hold it for up to 7 days. If your trip takes longer than that, then I don’t think there’s any other way.
