Hi,
I am into SFFPCs (small form factor PCs) and my current system is based on a Fractal Node 202 case. Since I got used to this “playstation like” form factor, I was really excited when Fractal announced their new Fractal Ridge a few months ago.
Unfortunately, I have not been able to find it on any of the common websites for PC parts. I also went to the websites of all retailers that Fractal lists for Japan on their own website but no luck.
Do you think it will be worth going to Akihabara and look for the case in person or is it just not available in Japan yet?

You’re probably looking at an import. PC gaming is growing here with the rise of esports but you’re still gonna be stuck for niche parts like this, thanks to the preference for pre-built monstrosities.
If you can’t find it on the online markets, you’re probably not going to find it in Akihabara.
Tsukumo, ark, Pasokon kobo, dos para and the other Akiba pc shops do a good job of syncing inventory between website and store. If it’s not on the website it’s probably not in store.
I would import it from Newegg or Amazon in US, or wait till the Japan launch/restock.
Tons of places sell Fractal Design cases in Japan, amazon, bic, applied, sofmap. If it was here, it would be there.
You can get if from newegg, though it will cost you:

It does not look like they have enough stock even in countries, where it has been released. So I am guessing that with 2nd production batch, they might start to add new countries to the list.
Update: Tsukomo just replied to my email saying that the Japan launch has been postponed from the side of Fractal and that they are unable to give me a date at the moment.
