Visiting family at the moment.
Was expecting to use the Rakuten Unlimted 2GB abroad. My phone seems to be connected to the Rakuten service but when I turn off wifi it says it cant connect to the internet.
My device is set to have mobile roaming on, as well as the Rakuten mobile app.
This might be due to having just one bar while in my moms house in the country side but im not sure.
Ill trt it out when I visit the city but I want to make sure there is not some setting im overlooking for this to work.

I’ve had good luck with just turning airplane mode and different settings in the mobile data section off/on. In the US, Rakuten only uses certain carriers so it might depend on the providers’ coverage in the area. Also, on one trip my SO never got service while mine worked perfectly (we have different phones).
Is Overseas Roaming also on on your Rakuten Mobile app (in addition to your phone)?
I’ve used it in multiple countries. When I have trouble connecting, I also choose a carrier manually.
