Hi everyone,
I’ve applied to be a CIR for the 2023 batch. I want to prepare for the interview if I get it and was wondering what questions New Zealand JETs have received, the kinds of articles and the interview experience in general. I’ve read past CIR posts but if possible it would be nice to hear from NZ JETS.

As for the English portion. I’m a fifth year so my interview was a while ago and I don’t remember it that well, but I do remember being asked a lot about my previous experience with being overseas which was very limited at the time (had only been overseas once for a few weeks), and how I would cope with any difficulties I faced in Japan. I think they really want to make sure that you’re independent enough to live in Japan and sturdy enough to not bail when things don’t go as you expect. Being able to express yourself eloquently is also probably important, so speak clearly and concisely
