Selling electronics in Japan and selling **Microsoft gaming systems in Japan** are two completely different things. Go to a used games shop, but don’t expect much.
Try Book Off
You could try mercari or fb groups also
yahoo auctions?
Hey, I’ll be moving into my placement soon and have been going back and forth on packing my own series X. I might be interested in taking it off of your hands?
I’d recommend selling it at Hard Off! It’s a second hand goods shop that sells pre owned electronics as well as clothes, furniture, etc. I sold a bunch of my stuff there at the end of my time on JET. You might not get too much money for your goods but that’s generally the second hand market. Alternatively you could try Facebook Marketplace where you could possibly get back more of your money

Easiest solution is sell it to a used gaming store (Geo, BookOff, etc.). If you’re near Tokyo, sell it in Akihabara at Gamers, they’re really good about their buy prices. If your area has a foreign residents buy/sell group on Facebook that’s a possibility too. If your Japanese is good or you have someone you trust with good Japanese, Mercari is also an option. You could also just try to sell it to another teacher in your area.
