“Sevenfold” in the headline is pretty meaningless coming out of Covid restrictions.
The more interesting numbers from the article are that it was still about 80% down on 2019 (makes sense since a lot of the year there were still restrictions), and the average spend is up about 50%.
wow. Imagine people on vacation spending money to do touristy things. Whodathunkit!
So many foreign tourist now and they brought their bad behavior over too… I kinda hate it… every tourist spot is so crowded now!
Hopefully this will help strengthen the yen a bit 🤞🏻
