The redevelopment plan doesn’t look bad to me. It increases the open spaces and seems generally well thought out. Ideally I would like to see less commercial space but also understand the project needs to make economic sense. It is also not clear to me whether there will be space for baseball practice (as current) – that I think is a must from a community standpoint.
Overall though, it looks like an improvement.
Edit: In retrospect the timing of this news is really strange. Ryuichi Sakamoto had already passed away when this story came out.
