How do you study Netflix shows?

I’ve used Language Reactor many times before, occasionally adding unknown words to JPDB by setting it as a custom external dictionary, but I would love a way to generate full sentence/audio multimedia cards. I tried Migaku briefly, but was not able to generate cards consistently, even after a lot of tinkering. Is there another way to grab full sentences and original audio without manually recording and saving audio files, etc? I live in Japan, so anything involving even a whiff of piracy is out of the question.

Or more generally, what is YOUR method for getting the most out of Netflix?

  1. I don’t think there’s non-hassle way of capturing stuff off of Netflix.

I’d just keep watching Japanese stuff you’re interested in and worry less about cards

  2. There is a browser addon which makes the Netflix captions text which you can copy and paste. Should work with migaku from what I’ve heard

  3. I just look up the words I don’t know as I go.

And I replay lines until I can make out and process all the words.

I try to understand whole sentences before I move on, but that doesnt always work out.
