Is there an easy way to tell apart the kanji mouth 口 and the katakana ro ロ

I just keep getting it confused when I’m trying to read japanese dubbed comics Etra-chan saw it / エトラちゃんは見た and japanese lyrics

    The first is “ちから,” the second is just か

    口 ロ

    The first is “くち,” the second is ろ

  3. Everyone else gave you good tips. I think part of it is just getting used to it and learning from context/common sense, which will get easier the more you study and improve in Japanese.

  7. A lot of times, 口 will be bigger than ロ. At least if both are the same font size and the same font. Otherwise it’s just dependant on the context…

  9. Nine times out of ten katakana will be part of a word, so preceded by and followed by more katakana, where as the kanji for mouth will be on its own not part of a katakana word.

    例えば、僕の口が痒い！このロボットは怖い。

Looked into an N5 vocabulary list to see if I could understand everything. There were a few words I didn’t know so for fun and practice I tried to write a little text using some of those words. I know it’s asking a lot but any form of (friendly) feedback and corrections are welcomed.

Now the little story. トムは起きたのあとに部屋を掃除して始めました。掃除しながら色々なたくさん古い物を見つけました。この物のうちに美しい茶碗もあったけど、あの茶碗はもう壊れしまいました。トムは「残念だね、新しい茶碗を買いはずだろうか」と思いました。 掃除を終わりのあとにトムさん新しい茶碗を買うのためにショッピングモールへ行くをことにしました。地下鉄でのりました。 モールで小さい本屋に気づ来ました。本が好きだから本屋に入って見回しました。本屋に本ばかりではなく葉書・文房具などのものを売れました。トムさんは面白く古くみえた字引を気づいたけど、ちょっと高かったから、買わないのを決めました。ついにきれいな葉書と封筒を買いました。レジさんにお金を渡して本やを出ました。 本屋のとなりにコンビニがありました。ドアはちょっと開けにくいだからトムさんはドアを開けるのためにギュット押さなければなりませんでした。 トムさんは例えば砂糖・石鹸・他の家庭用品を買いました。 そのあとにトムさんは地下鉄で家に戻りました。 帰ったときに「くそ。新しい茶碗を買うことを忘れちゃった」と思いました。 _____________< The words I tried to implement…
