Hi all,
Does anyone know why the JLPT doesn’t allow you to take the test with your post-test, as well as not publishing the previous test/past tests aside from the workbook that’s updated every 5 years or so? For context, I live and work in Japan, and seems like the majority of the other tests (such as Eiken (for English), the kanji kentei, and entrance exams) are published and allow the test takers to take them back. So out of curiosity does anyone know why the JLPT is like this? Aside from “just ‘cuz” of course.
Also aiming for N1 this July (><)

They 100% recycle old tests, so I think that’s a big reason why. But I couldn’t pin point you to any other specific reasons
The same test is used at multiple sites in different timezones, it’s an anticheating measure.
