Recommended places to get Blood pressure checkup

I have been feeling a dull headache for the past week and my ears are clogged. I suspect it might be related to increased blood pressure.
So I am trying to find out places in Tokyo where I can get my blood pressure measured. Would be good if the staff there can speak English.

So far I have found out some English speaking health checkup centres but they do seem to do a full body checkup. Is there any way/place to only get my blood pressure measured. Any suggestions will be helpful.

  1. You can buy a blood pressure device on Amazon

I would do so and starting measuring it first thing in the morning and before sleeping

Then go with this data to a doc

    Good luck

  2. My advice, buy a blood pressure check device. It’s pretty cheap considering you can use it daily. It’s around 4000-6000 per last I check in Amazon. It’s essential to have this device in hand, since high blood pressure is a silent killer.

  3. Some drug stores have them out for people to use. Some electronic stores have them out for you to try.

  4. My local supermarket has a blood pressure machine free to use, along with a bunch of other health measurement devices.

  5. 区営ジム gym run by the city. It’s usually likr ¥500 to use the gym and they always have a machine

  6. Pretty much every clinic or hospital I’ve been to asks you to complete a blood pressure check as part of your arrival procedures, so why not just go ahead and book to see a doctor, that way you have an immediate avenue to talk about the possible causes and treatment options afterward as well?

  7. Are you sure it isn’t hay fever/allergies? They would also cause the same symptoms.

  8. Buy a blood pressure machine and check it yourself, keeping in mind that stress affects blood pressure, so take a few minutes to relax before you check. If it’s consistently over 130/80 you might need blood pressure medicine, so if that’s the case then head over to your neighborhood 内科 and get evaluated.

  9. Your local community center will have one. Or any Yamada Denki will have a whole row of home BP cuffs you can “test” to see if you want to buy one…

  10. Every big hospital in Tokyo has them in the main area. Just walk ik and ask where they have the machines. Check yourself and if your blood pressure is high you can always ask to see a doctor.

  11. just go to a naika (内科) which is the equivalent of a generalist, elsewhere. blood pressure devices you buy for home use are not for diagnosis, they are for general novelty of understanding where your blood pressure is trending. most ppl dont need them. you dont need to bring any data to a doc for them to the start checking once you explain your symptoms. save your money. you clearly have other symptoms which a blood pressure monitor is not going to help you with.

  12. Health related thing, he? I’d go to the local vegetable shop, that sounds like the most logical place.

  13. Like others said, you can buy a blood pressure device online or in a drugstore. But also, dull headache and clogged ears could be more of a sinus issue. Have you gone to see an ENT?
