As we know, Japanese pretty much categorize non alcoholic drinks into water, coffee, tea, and everything else is “juice.” A second ago I could have swore I just caught the tail end of a commercial for “Juice Coffee.” I either need someone to hold me or tell me I misheard cause I’m not prepared for that level of brain damage inducing pidgin Engrish.

Uh… we do? Even if we ascribe to your idea, tea seems like a pretty glaring omission.
Suntory sells a Fruits Tea through their Craft Boss label, which is tea flavored with fruit juice. I bought a bottle of it a couple of weeks ago at a konbini and it was surprisingly good. Maybe they’re making a coffee version of it under their Coffee Boss label.
It could be cascara, but I think it’s not.
Coffee with orange juice is not uncommon. Maybe it’s that?
You think people consider cola “juice” in Japan? Who have you been talking to?
a lot of my students refer to cola as ‘juice’. … I have explained it to several junior high and university classes and the students seemed surprised.. so it does happen
According to my husband, soda can also be referred to as juice?
