So. I went to my locale city hall and submitted the moving out documents. I told them when I am moving out and where.
I read online that when you move to a new location, the previous location city hall will give you a moving out form to bring to the new city hall.
But I wasn’t given anything.
Is that form thing out of date and they don’t do it anymore or did I fuck up something?

Are you by chance moving to a different location within the same city? If not, I think that you’ll have to go back and get the 転出届.
I’m guessing you’re moving outside wards/cities, not within. If you have a my number card and was asked that by your former city hall just now, you don’t need the physical moving out certificate anymore. Just go into your new place’s city hall and present them your my number card alongside the moving in documents.

If done with the mynumber card there is no form
Probably the MyNumber card method.
