I believe the salmon was frozen enough days at be lower than -20C.. You can get much beautiful salmon cuts if you cut it a little before completely thawed..
Looks great for a first time! Try adding ultra thin lemon slices, peel and all, to your board next time (1mm or less thickness). Adds a little acid and bitterness to cut the buttery flavor of the avo/salmon combo.
