I’m in Jeju island actually. And you can see several places where they talk about the japanese pirates here. They really used to make the hard life for the Koreans and maybe even more for the peoples close to Jeju
A friend of mine claimed to be a descendant of them. Her family name was Murakami, so it’s possible
