Hi everyone! visiting Hakone today but I’ll need to be in the Ryokan for an onsen bath by 16:00. As the title suggest I’m only interested in My Fuji view and have 3-4 hours of time. I would prefer a walking path but as far as I understand there are 3 main ways to see Fuji:
1- detached palace observatory (walkable)
2- tourist boat
3- rope way
From the information gathered online it seems that 2 and 3 are the most beautiful and the only walkable way os the observatory, am I correct or am I missing something? what do you suggest?
Thank you in advance!
EDIT: It is 3 or 4 HOURS!! sorry for the misunderstanding!

I don’t think 45 minutes is enough. But you can’t go wrong with any choice. I liked the view from ship and ropeway equally. You should check the website to make sure the ropeway is open.
We walked on the old highway for a little while. It was beautiful. You could see the boats, couple little shrines and shops. Do you have 3/4 hr (45 minutes) or is it 3 or 4 hrs?
Mom and I did the ropeway a couple weeks ago and really enjoyed it, we were also lucky to have a beautiful clear day to see Fuji San. If I remember correctly, we got into Hakone around 12:30 and were able to take the rail to cable car to ropeway and get back to our ryokan by 5. We did a good amount of browsing in the shops, and sitting to rest with our black eggs and curry pan and coffee so we took our time.
