My query is regarding the bank statements. Will showing proof of funds from a Wise (previously Transferwise) account be acceptable or will they most likely want proof from a standard high street bank account (Barclays, HSBC, etc). I understand it’s a very specific question so any input is appreciated.
Thanks!

That is a very specific question; which is why you should be asking the embassy/consulate for official advice straight from the source, and not anecdotal information from people on social media.
My interpretation of that is a *bank account* means **a bank account**. Funds held by Wise, Paypal, or any of these other “money service” companies would not count because they’re not legislated in the same way as the banks are under the [Banking Act](https://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/2009/1/contents), or because the funds may not be as liquid.
