Weekly bentos #9 – Surprise curry bento! (From Gekkan Shojou Nozaki-kun)

  1. For this bento I tried recreating the [surprise curry bento](https://yumpenguinsnacks.files.wordpress.com/2015/10/tumblr_nchh23gjxi1t2rr2bo1_1280.png) from Monthly Girls’ Nozaki-kun, which looks like an unassuming plain rice bento at first but actually has Japanese curry underneath!

    Bento has Japanese curry (Golden Curry Extra Hot, chicken, potatoes, carrot, rice, black sesame, and pickled cherry blossom for garnish. Additional little onigiris have chopped up pickled cherry blossoms, scrambled egg, and toasted sesame mixed in.

    Since the uni term’s over, this is the last weekly bento post in the series. I’ll probably be back with another term sometime in the future, but thanks for sticking with me for this term!

  4. wtf i’ve never thought about putting the curry underneath the rice. BIG BRAIN MOVE
