I’ve made a kana practice tool – canikana

So there are many apps and websites to help with memorizing kana but I found all of them to be lacking one way or another, so I created my own quiz.

Below is a list of things it can do

* practice both katakana and hiragana at the same time
* dark and minimal theme (light theme is also included)
* mix different fonts in one run to practice recognizing kana that is handwritten or more radically stylized (you can choose from 14 fonts and mix them as you please)
* included katakana digraphs that don’t have a hiragana equivalent (like ‘she’ and so on)
* practice not only translating kana to romaji but the other way around as well
* measures time of recognition and allows practice of arbitrary symbol sets based on what takes you the longest to recognize (instead of just using rows etc)
* optimized for a fast input experience in case you wanted to speedrun it (nothing rushes but you can of you want to)
* it exists as a webapp that works on every platform (you can add it to the home screen on mobile for an app-like experience)

It is completely free but I appreciate the support as well.

Good luck and have fun!
