Remote Job

Hi there, I’m currently looking for a remote teaching job here in Japan. Can’t commute because of heath problems. I have 10 years experience but I’m not a native speaker. Any suggestions?

  1. Doesn’t DMM do remote lessons? Some Eikeiwa’s might be offer online lessons these days. I would check your local area for that…actually if remote, then you are not restricted by area then.

  2. Toshin Business School, Cambly, and DMM are the big company options off the top of my head. There’s a whole network of smaller schools, but I have never seen a listing for them– I usually get offers for those jobs through my network.

  3. DMM English is very low pay. Someone mentioned 10% of minimum wage and it’s about right. Stay away!
You’re better off going to Hello Work and getting a job winding fishing line into bags at your house

  4. Try putting an advertisement in a local paper/newsletter and social media. Also if you are doing remote work don’t limit yourself to Japanese students only, also look into website that advertise to Chinese, Korean and Middle-Eastern (Dubai, Saudi) students as well.

  5. I do fully remote teaching to adults only. Pay is 3500-4000 an hour.

Look on Ohayosensei, Gaijinpot , Jobs in Japan etc . You’ll find one or two that are actually worth your time. Keep doing this until you have enough fully remote jobs to sustain you .

Usually if you do a good job ,they’ll renew you. I don’t leave my house during the week anymore , except for essentials . It’s a good lifestyle.

  6. It’s unlikely you’ll be able to find anything that pays well/is stable. Especially since you’re not a native speaker. Consider looking in other industries.

Unfortunately, the ESL game is “in-person”. If you’re looking for remote, try IT

  7. I worked for Aeon Digital Works. Paid decent and you start out with evenings 4 nights a week.

  8. I have a legitimate offer for you
You can pm me for more information about it.
