Japanese from zero book information?

I’m interested in the Japanese from Zero books but have a few questions (note that I created an account on [FromZero.com](https://FromZero.com) to ask this, but you have to pay to ask a question there):

1. How do I make sure I get the latest edition/revision of the books? I’ve seen videos on Youtube indicating that revisions are constantly being worked on so I want to get the “best” copy. I also want to avoid counterfeit books – is Amazon the right place for this purchase?
2. Do they post errata of the changes in each revision so I can update my book? If I get the Kindle books are they updated as new revisions are published?
3. I’m on their website and they have separate books for Hiragana and Katakana, but then they have a book called “Kana from Zero” which seems to be both Hiragana and Katakana. The [FromZero.com](https://FromZero.com) website offers no information other than affiliate links and a picture of the covers. Are these ALL needed? Do I only need the Kana book? Only the Hiragana and Katakana books?

Thank you.

  1. JFZ has its own subreddit on which the author answers questions: [https://www.reddit.com/r/JapaneseFromZero/](https://www.reddit.com/r/JapaneseFromZero/)

You can find links to the where to buy the books on the FromZero website: [https://www.fromzero.com/books](https://www.fromzero.com/books). I am sure if you buy directly from those links you will get legit copies of the most recent edition.

Those books have been around for a very long time now and are fairly fast to go through. I highly doubt any new errors will be found before you are done with all 5 books, so I would not worry about updates anymore.

Regarding the kana books, don’t waste your money on any of them. The main JFZ books already introduce kana at the slowest pace possible. Do not get separate books to make it even slower. Just stick with the main series.
