Is anyone renewing residence cards via the JPKI system?
So far I had to download JAVA environment, then an app, then an 87 pages pdf user manual… had to buy a card reader too.
This feels SLIGHTLY overly complicated – no “one-click” shopping here…
But if this can save a couple of trips to the immigration centre I’m all for it!

It’s all for securely identify who you are.
Public key infrastructure is complicated and that’s why they don’t really get traction outside of specific needs.
I used it April to renew my residence successfully.
Can anyone explain a bit about this? Can you renew your residence card without going to immigration? 😳
If you have a PR and just need a new card, you apparently need to go to immigration.
