I’m moving to Tokyo this June and looking to find where to live in the city.
I’ll be working near Ōtemachi station. Question is, can I cycle to work?
I’m used to cycling in UK large cities, but not sure if I’m signing my own death warrant by trying to cycle in Tokyo!
I know Tokyo heat is intense and office shower facilities are lacking, but curious if it can be done. TIA

You physically can cycle to work in Tokyo. Many people do that.
Whether your company will allow you to do that (since your company is responsible for your safety during your commute) is another story.
My company (across from Tokyo station) had a big push to encourage people to ride bikes to work. There are around 800 people in my office and my company arranged 5 bicycle parking spots. Getting one of those spots is very cut throat.
There is a place to shower in the underground close to Shin Marunouchi building, but most of the people who ride (or walk/run) to work just have a complete change of clothes and use those Gatsby body wipes.
