Is a three year degree enough for getting working visa?

I plan to move to Japan through either a company transfer or the language school route. I have read somewhere that you need a four year bachelor’s minimum, in my college they have a three year option and a four year option so I wanted to know. Do you really need atleast a four year degree Or does a three year degree work?

  2. Your 3 year degree is probably more intensive than the 4 year. As far as I understand, a bachelor’s degree is what is required. If that degree takes 3, 4 or 5 years to obtain, that’s up to you. “4 year” is used because that’s how long it takes as a regular full time student. Going more than full time or taking summer classes will shorten that time. It’s still a bachelor’s degree, so it should be fine.

  3. If it’s a bachelor’s degree then it does not matter how many years it took to get it. Mine took significantly less than 4 years to complete and worked for me.
