Nice article! I agree El Desperado should be the one to win. I feel like it’s been in the works, & he & Hiromu are great in the ring together.
I want it to be Despy so badly! He came so close last year and deserves it.
Kushida is a jr. tag champion, he won’t be taking it while holding that championship. I also feel Akira needs some more time as a singles guy before we see him take that kind of accomplishment. I feel the same way about Clark – I want him to do well in this tournament but not win it – he needs time to establish himself in Japan first as a heel before going after the big prize.
Despy is the most deserving. But if I had to pick a dark horse this year, I’d probably go with Yoh, Sho, or Wato. I’d want it to be a young star who’s been established a bit in Japan and came close before. Someone the audience is still familiar with but would still shock people to win.
Really well put together, great read. I think I’m not alone rooting for Despy to take it all. Either way, the card is stacked, and I, for one, am amped for some of these matches..
I agree with you for Akira, but to me the future winner is Wato
I think the finals will be Desperado vs KUSHIDA
Big fan of Hiromu but I want Yo to take the BOSJ 30 this year.. Yo has grown on me & he has another level that he can jump to.. so I’m pulling for Yo..
Despy deserves it and is my first choice. After that, would love to see Douki with it. I could also see Wato taking it after he won the, uh, what was it called, Jr all star thing. He’s got some momentum.
