I recently got a job at an Eikawa as a non-native English speaker. However, one of the requirements for visa sponsorship is that I need to prove that I have taken a degree in English. I was wondering if anyone has any experience with this.
I spoke to my former department head and he offered to assist me in any way possible. However, I am unsure of what to ask for. Would a letter addressed “to whom it may concern” stating that all of my coursework, including my thesis, was completed in English suffice, or is there another way?

I got a certification from my university registrar stating that the medium of instruction was fully in English.
I had never heard about this requirement. Is this for the particular Eikaiwa you applied to or for all/most of them?
I have a bachelors degree from a French university in Canada and there was no issue.
I am a non-native with a job teaching in Japan. Immigration needs your transcript to prove it is legit.
I had the same experience actually… I’d love to say see my YT videos for details, but I’m not sure that’s allowed LOL. Anyway, because my country does not allow an official document to be issued in English, what I did was I made a document myself stating that all classes were taught in English, went door to door and got 3 teachers to sign it, and then went to the dean and asked them to send a scan of that document from the university’s email address to my employer.
