Chiba. Similarly to the one we had before noon yesterday
Southern Chiba, +5. What’s with all these big quakes recently? Shit’s unnerving.
Got the emergency alert in Tokyo but felt nothing
Really strong rattle in Kanagawa. Weirdly enough I woke up a second before it hit. I rarely feel quakes here too.
Some mild shaking for a bit here in Tokyo. The siren from my phone was scarier than the earthquake. Better safe than sorry I suppose, but goddamn it’s loud.
Now that we’re all up, how’s everyone’s morning?
So I didn’t dream it
Some light shaking here at saitama. But alert woke me up..
Nice wakeup call
I’m at Narita Airport. Got the alert but didn’t feel a thing.
Our cat tried to warn us at 2:30 this morning.
Saitama city – J-Alert didn’t go off but the shake woke me up. Not enough to get me out of bed though. Also interestingly there was a M7.6 earthquake in Tonga at 1 am JST. The earth definitely seems to be active recently and the gov is putting out a statement cautioning everyone to be alert for earthquakes for the next week. Make sure to have supplies and stay safe everyone!
That wasn’t long… The last year was worst one
It felt short to me
|Soft but long,
That’s what she said.
I didn’t even wake up… anyone else in the same boat lol
Strange, for me it was fairly short and strong enough to make a bunch of stuff fall from 3 different shelves in my apartment.
First time I get stuff broken in my 9 years in Japan…
I just overslept the whole thing. Is that a security issue?
It’s been a week since gulls started flying over my mansion building, chirping 24/7 and worse than the alarm lol is this normal in Tokyo residential areas? And do you think it has a connection to recent quakes?
The further away you are from the rupture the softer and longer it feels . That includes both depth underground and distance from the epicentre. Some of most devastating quakes are due to close to surface level faults.
