Any way to contact Japanese people on media, talk to them, or meef a pen friend?

I’ve been wondering for a while, i wanted to start speaking with a real japanese, since i’m studying for N3 currently i can do the majority of daily conversation. Are there any discord servers/sun reddits/ig gcs or any way to talk with people jn Japanese online?

  8. Change your location on all your devices. That’s what I have done, I changed my location to Japan, and on all my social media apps like YouTube, Twitter, etc. I get content by Japanese people for Japanese people. It’s definitely given me countless opportunities to interact with the people, but translating everything for yourself is a struggle. It’s worth it though.

  14. I second gaming with Japanese people. My Japanese speaking drastically improved from it. And I’m someone who lives in Japan and still struggle to find folks to talk with.

  19. Maybe Slowly can help? It simulates how long a real letter would take to get to the recipient. Say you’re from California and sent a Slowly message to a Nevada person. Not too long. If the Cali guy sends to Japan, it’ll be considerably longer. You can select multiple languages and edit them based on your proficiency. Everyone I came across were chill people happy to hear (in my case) an American that’s showing genuine interest in their country and the unique cool things. I had this one Japanese user connected to me who was a 1/5 with English but a 5/5 in Japanese, whereas I had the reciprocal. We taught each other language skills and recipes and whatever came up.
