Ok so I’m writing this story that centers around Japans Red string of fate legend. The characters are two people that find each other every time they are reincarnated and I wanted their names to reflect the story.
I have the name for my female character but my male character is where I’m struggling for his name I wanted to name him Lost Traveler or Lost Love which is supposed to be represent how he has lost himself/ his love throughout each reincarnation.
失 this is the Kanji I used for lost but I couldn’t find the exact the meaning for it since I know there are different Kanji for lost
愛 is the Kanji I used for love since I know it’s used to refer to a deep sensual love.
Please help me come up with a name that actually makes sense and represents the correct meaning.

1. go to https://jisho.org
2. type in a kanji
3. use the #name tag (in your example, you would type this: 失 #name)
4. it will show you all the names which use that kanji
Also: consider following a regular naming convention?
Naming conventions aside:
The kanji “失” is for losing something (losing your job, losing your consciousness, losing hopes (disappointment), loss of assets/profits, etc). It is not for a person who is lost.
There are two relevant kanji that come to mind for a person:
1.迷 (literally being lost) – when you lose your way (become lost), if you are lost in a decision, or if you are a lost person)
2. 浪 (wandering/roaming) – It is famously used for masterless samurai (wandering samurai), and students who are still looking to get admitted into a university after graduating highschool (for up to several years)
