This might be a stupid question, but for the visa photos, how do they want them attached to the application form? It says ‘paste’ so do I copy and paste it then print, or stick a physical photo on there? If it needs to be physical and separate, do they accept regular paper cut to size, or only specific photo booth paper?

Physical photo stuck on with paste. There should be a specific size you need for the photo and on photo paper, not printed paper. Go to a photo booth or somewhere that does pictures for IDs and pick the correct size to get made.
Usually (what I did www), it’s better to attach a physical one to the application form. Not only it’s a photo paper so it looks better, but you can also sign it at the back for even further proof that it’s yours.
Also the size is 45x35cm if I’m not mistaken.
my sister literally just did this the other day, she stuck a physical copy on with adhesive tape/regular tape on the back. she didn’t have any issues submitting it. :’)
You need to paste it on. I took mine to the consulate with a glue stick. One thing I noticed was that since I got my COE, 6 months had passed so i actually went and got a new set of photos for the visa application. I took both sets with me (old and new) and the consulate staff member told me to use the new one. She kindly went and pasted it on for me so I’m sure they will help you too!

I took a picture with my mobile phone and used an app to adjusted the size, then I went in the printing company and printed in photography paper. I did all this because there’s no photo house near me. I did the same for the CoE and they accepted. I left the photo separated and the receptionist glued the photo in the form to me. I think this way, they can check and if complained, you don’t loose all work.
