If you apply for PR via HSP route and you just about qualify for both the 80+ point/one year requirement and 70+ point/three year requirement, is it possible to apply using both calculations in the same application?
The fear here is that when applying for 80+ point/one year qualification, somehow losing a few points due to some minor thing and falling below the threshold without any consideration given to the the 70+ point/three year qualification, or vice versa.
Anyone been in this situation?

AFAIK, it is possible and whichever you qualify will depend on your documentation. You can be safe and provide 3 years of tax/nenkin payments instead of the 1 required for 80 points if you want to be fulfill the 70 point requirement as well.
Yes you can select both if you have the points and documents to support it.
